The staff at edge have worked extensively on office developments (one of the first low energy commercial offices in the country) industrial workshops and small business start up developments through to mixed use city centre schemes.
Justin has won a number of design competitions for office developments throughout the country from Wigan to Bamber Bridge. Edge is particularly proud of its Carbon Neutral Company status and would like to think our experience on energy efficient design puts us in a good position to tackle the next generation of office and commercial development.
The commercial sector requires a certain mind set with regard to net to gross area while also appreciating the importance of the wow factor and the uplift this can give to rental values, we at edge like to think we understand the balance required.
Commercial projects are by there very nature often contractor led and we understand this and can appreciate the relationship and working method this requires. Time scales can be tight and specifications can be put under pressure as we appreciate and we think our unique insight into the commercial and retail world given by Peter's hard nosed business experience perhaps puts us at an advantage against other Architects who just specify by numbers or the latest glossy catalogue.
